Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist to join our team. The receptionist will assist patients and providers through exceptional internal and external customer service. The receptionist sets the tone, creating an exceptional patient experience whether in the clinic or by phone. The receptionist must be flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment and is responsible for all duties in various clinic settings as outlined below.
Duties
- Welcomes patients and/or visitors to Orthology and answers their initial inquiries. Must have the ability to empathize with and dispel patient anxieties, as well as maintain an inviting reception area.
- Answers or triages patient inquiries in person and/or via phone.
- Clearly communicates services offered and the value of the Orthology experience. Helps triage the suitability of the Orthology treatment approach to the patient’s needs.
- Book patient appointments, managing and optimizing both the provider’s and the clinic's schedule.
- Consistently and effectively monitor the clinic schedule, notifying providers and team members of patient arrivals or of any potential conflicts.
- Acts as a liaison for patients and clinicians, communicating in an effective and professional manner.
- Performs outbound communications, responding to inquiries, which may include voicemails, emails, and online bookings.
- May perform business office, and equipment inventory.
- Helps ensure continuity of care, communicating with other offices as appropriate.
- Organizes patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial and medical information.
- Completes clinic reports and administrative duties to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Understand and practically apply knowledge of HIPAA privacy laws by protecting patient information. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information.
- Collects patient payments.
- Opens or closes the facility.
- Special projects and other duties, as needed

Technological aptitude

- Degree in healthcare related field or experience in healthcare industry preferred.
- Must be familiar with the metropolitan area.
