Position Description:

OrthoLazer Orthopedic Laser Centers (OLC) offer patients an innovative and effective alternative to pain management in the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. As a Laser Therapy Technician, you’re the individual who treats the patient with MLS Laser therapy. From our referring providers to the office staff and ultimately our patients, you’ll participate in a culture of care that delivers exceptional patient experiences, every single time. As a Laser Therapy Technician at this franchised location, you’re responsible for administering MLS laser therapy treatments to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You will work on a team with other laser technicians led by a Center Director under the direction of a Physician.

Essential responsibilities of a Laser Technician include:

  • Administering MLS Laser Therapy treatments (2-3 in one hour)
  • Attending to patient needs to promote best treatment practices
  • Commitment to continuing education with Laser technique and science
  • Promoting and ensuring a safe treatment environment
  • Keeping treatment areas organized and sanitary
  • Completing well-documented patient progress notes
  • Explaining laser therapy principles and science to existing and prospective patients

Education, Skills and Training:

  • Certification or degree, completed or in progress, in a medical-related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of associates degree (or similar) in the medical field
  • Prior medical experience with musculoskeletal conditions (preferred)
  • Medical experience working in patient care (preferred)
  • Self-motivator with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology (preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Adaptive to new technology and eager to self-learn
  • Organized
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Proficient multi-tasker

Communications and Personal Interactions:

  • Discretion and ability to maintain and respect patient confidentiality
  • A strong desire to care for people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in speaking directly with current patients, prospective patients, and medical providers
  • Ability to positively influence patients and your community via communicating through leadership to build confidence in laser therapy
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and constant commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
