Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments in electronic management software.
- Schedule patient referrals in a timely manner.
- Enter patient information into Electronic Medical Record.
- Answer multiline phone system in a courteous manner.
- Verify patient insurance benefits.
- Maintain referral source appointments with feedback communication.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Medical insurance knowledge preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a commitment for success.
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology and general medical practice operations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Basic office skills such as typing and operating phones.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a medical office required.
- At least 1 year of scheduling experience in a medical office desired.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
