Orthoify PLLC is a modern, patient-centered orthopedic practice specializing in advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments, regenerative medicine, and comprehensive musculoskeletal care. We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role combining clinical support and administrative/front desk responsibilities—ideal for someone who enjoys direct patient interaction and supporting clinic operations.
Responsibilities
Clinical Support:
- Prepare exam rooms and assist physician with orthopedic procedures, injections, and treatments.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, medications, and allergies accurately in the EMR.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as wound care, dressing changes, splinting, and post-operative care assistance (training provided).
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize instruments, and ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Front Desk & Patient Coordination:
- Greet patients warmly, check them in/out, and ensure a welcoming office experience.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage referrals, and coordinate imaging or lab requests.
- Verify insurance, collect copays/balances, and assist patients with billing questions.
- Manage patient charts, scan/upload documents, and maintain organized electronic records in the EMR.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficiency and minimal wait times.
- Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and external facilities.
Team & Operations:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and office staff to optimize workflow.
- Participate in team meetings, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support practice growth by delivering excellent customer service and patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of Medical Assistant program strongly preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or specialty care a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (ModMed or similar) preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and patient service skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time: Monday–Friday (no weekends, no major holidays)
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
