The Provider Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and securing top-tier orthodontists to join a growing Orthodontic Service Organization (DSO). This role requires a strong background in healthcare or executive recruiting, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with both candidate providers and current doctors within the organization. The recruiter will serve as a liaison to existing orthodontists, supporting engagement, communication, and retention across the network. This is a strategic, high-impact role critical to the organization’s clinical growth and practice expansion initiatives.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Orthodontist & Dentist Recruitment
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to identify and attract orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other dental professionals for current openings, new locations, and future pipeline needs.
- Utilize multiple sourcing channels—including networking, referrals, associations, school partnerships, job boards, events, and social media—to generate qualified candidates.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating clinical interviews, reference checks, and offer negotiation.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the orthodontic labor market, competitive landscape, and hiring trends.
Talent Pipeline Development
- Build long-term relationships with orthodontic residents and dental program directors to support early talent initiatives.
- Maintain an active database of potential orthodontist, pediatric and general dentist candidates for future opportunities.
- Attend career fairs, residency events, conferences, and professional meetings to represent the OE brand.
Doctor Liaison & Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted liaison between the organization and current doctors, supporting communication, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular check-ins with active orthodontists to understand their needs, career goals, and any concerns.
- Partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to ensure positive doctor experiences and smooth onboarding.
- Address issues or escalations proactively and coordinate solutions with internal departments.
Offer Management & Onboarding
- Present opportunities and compensation packages effectively, ensuring alignment with candidate expectations and organizational compensation structures.
- Coordinate all aspects of the doctor hiring process, including credentialing, contracts, and onboarding.
- Ensure new doctors are well-supported during their transition and first months of practice, including in-person visits to clinics.
Branding & Outreach
- Represent the Orthodontic Experts’ mission, values, and culture to attract highly skilled clinicians.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted recruitment materials and campaigns.
- Promote the organization’s reputation as a premier employer for orthodontic professionals.
Reporting & Metrics
- Track recruitment activities, candidate progress, and hiring data through the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Report on key recruiting KPIs, including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline strength, offer acceptance rate, and retention indicators.
- Provide insights to leadership to improve recruitment strategy and forecasting.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide high-level professional verbal and written communication in all interactions.
- Work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Travel frequently to clinics, practice sites, schools, and industry events as required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in healthcare or executive recruiting; dental experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success with high-volume or multi-location clinical recruitment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel to practice sites, schools, and industry events as needed.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and digital sourcing tools.
Working Hours/ Location:
- Based out of: 1700 W Higgins Rd Des Plaines, IL 60018 with regular travel
- Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
