This is a full-time on-site role for a Prosthetist located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Prosthetist will be responsible for assessing patients’ needs, conducting detailed evaluations, and designing, fabricating, and fitting customized prosthetic devices. The role includes performing gait analyses, providing ongoing adjustments for optimal comfort and satisfaction, and delivering compassionate patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams and maintaining detailed records.
- Expertise in Prosthetics and Orthotics, with experience in designing, fabricating, and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Proficiency in Gait Analysis and understanding of biomechanics
- Strong skills in Patient Care, with a compassionate and patient-centric approach
- Knowledge of Medicine, particularly as it relates to rehabilitation and physical therapy
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or a closely related field
- National commission certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (ABC/BOC certifications preferred)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
