What You'll Do
As a Registered Nurse – Preop/PACU at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:
- Assess and monitor preoperative patients, obtain vital signs, review medical history, and ensure informed consent is complete
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain, and address any complications to ensure safe and comfortable recovery
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner within the EMR
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless surgical experience
- Recognize and act on changes in patient condition, using independent clinical judgment and facility protocols to guide decisions
- Excel under pressure and maintain a calm, clear head in dynamic clinical situations
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and surgical teams
- Have excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Bring a team-oriented attitude and prioritizes patient safety and comfort
- Value precision and detail in documentation and clinical execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Georgia or compact state
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- 2 years of RN experience in Preop and/or PACU preferred
- Work in a state-of-the-art orthopedic surgery center
- Be part of a professional, patient-centered clinical team
