As a Radiology Transporter with OrthoArizona, you will get to:
- Safely transport patients to and from radiology departments using the appropriate equipment (e.g., stretchers, wheelchairs, or other specialized transport devices).
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients during transit, taking into account any medical conditions, age, or special needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients to address their concerns, provide reassurance, and answer questions.
- Collaborate with radiology and nursing staff to coordinate the timing of patient transfers, ensuring minimal disruption to radiology schedules.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a sterile and clean environment.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is clean, safe, and in good working condition.
- Complete necessary documentation related to patient transport, including tracking patient arrivals and departures.
- Assist in other clinic duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely, as well as push/pull equipment as required.
- Knowledge of patient care and medical terminology is a plus.
- Basic understanding of infection control and safety protocols.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude and strong empathy for patients.
- Must be available full time.
