Primary Care Associates seeks a highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Health Services Coordinator to join our rapidly growing and dynamic team. Coordinator duties
- Input payment information or other financial data into customer accounts in EHR
- Generate invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to customers
- Work with the OrthoAlaska billing department to identify and correct billing errors
- Maintain workflow and organization
- Utilize accounting software to identify outstanding accounts, inform accounts of any missed/late payments and coordinate payment
Knowledge and skill requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, personable and caring, and able to help patients feel at ease
- Able to understand medical charts and diagnoses and coding for billing purposes
- Able to maintain a calm demeanor when under pressure
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of patient care teams
- Skill in operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications and EHR
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred (in addition to required) qualifications
- Bachelors degree in billing, business, or related field OR
- Two (2) years of experience in occupational health or customer service
