Duties:
We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an integral member of our orthopedic practice, you will provide crucial support to our physicians and PA's in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist orthopedic physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and stocking necessary supplies.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and diagnostic tests.
- Manage and update electronic medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and ability to respond to emergency situations. Have BLS / CPR certification current or certification done within 90 days of hire.
- Previous experience in orthopedics or related medical field preferred.
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and documenting patient information.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, with your team, in a fast-paced healthcare environment
