Role Description
OrthoMA is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant for a contract, on-site position located in the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Area. The role involves working closely with orthopedic surgeons, conducting patient evaluations, assisting in surgical procedures, creating treatment plans, and providing post-operative care. Additional responsibilities include documenting patient progress, educating patients on treatment options, and collaborating with the wider medical team to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in patient evaluation, diagnostics, and treatment planning for orthopedic cases
- Experience assisting in surgical procedures and providing post-operative care
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation and patient record management
- Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with medical teams
- Active Physician Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Prior experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal care is strongly preferred
- CPR and ACLS certification are desirable
