We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our Orthopedic & Regenerative Medicine team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, supporting patient care and clinical operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a solid understanding of medical procedures across outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or trauma centers is highly valued. This position is integral to providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced medical practice focused on innovative orthopedic treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including intake and vital signs documentation
  • Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary draws, ensuring proper labeling and handling
  • Assist with patient assessments and support physicians during examinations and treatments
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and medical history updates
  • Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to safety protocols
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort
  • Assist with clinic operations including , patient flow management, and administrative support as needed

Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist with relevant clinical experience in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration
  • Experience working within hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU, or Geriatrics units is preferred
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical documentation processes
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in X-ray or emergency medicine are advantageous
  • Prior clinic experience in orthopedics, dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care settings is highly desirable
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
