1.1 Job Description - Customer Service/Room AttendantJob Title: Room AttendantDepartment: HousekeepingReports To: Property General ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition Summary:We are looking to hire a Room Attendant to join our cleaning team. You will beresponsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds,vacuuming, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25pounds and have an eye for cleanliness. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys ahigh-speed environment, making it possible to finish cleaning a room within 30 minutes,is a self-starter and excellent at managing their time effectively.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators,stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards aremet.• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean outdoor ashtrays, and transport othertrash and waste to disposal areas.• Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, andbathroom items.• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.• Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or poweredscrubbing and waxing machines.• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuumcleaners and shampooers.• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing asnecessary.• Wear uniform at all times while on duty.Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate thefollowing.• Adaptability- Adapts to change in the work environment.
