What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Service Technician - Heavy Equipment A/C, Waste Oil Heating, and Refrigeration position at Orrison Maintenance Service?
Overview
This is not a typical residential HVAC position. Our service technicians service waste oil heating systems, heavy equipment air conditioning systems, and much more. We are a family owned business that has been around since 1992.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on waste oil furnace to keep customer's shops warm in the winter months.
- Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning systems on heavy equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance Inspections.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Complete work orders and documentation using our service software.
- Maintain a clean, organized service truck.
Skills
- Solid knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics reading.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems including low voltage wiring and high voltage safety procedures.
- Strong problem solving ability.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial mechanics and equipment repair processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics effectively for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience working with low voltage systems as well as high voltage safety standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
