What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal – Family Law (High-Asset / Complex Practice) position at Orr & Reno?
Orr & Reno is seeking an exceptional paralegal to join our family law team. Our practice is devoted to handling complex, high-asset divorce matters with the discretion, finesse, and precision they demand. As part of our team, you will play a central role in managing financial disclosures and document production, drafting financial affidavits, managing discovery, and guiding clients through the discovery process. This position involves working directly with clients and supporting attorneys in navigating the intricate financial issues often present in high-net-worth and complex domestic matters.
Ideal candidates will offer:
- Relevant experience in family law, civil litigation, or a comparable high-stakes practice area(s).
- Proficiency with financial analysis, including tax returns, financial statements, and asset documentation.
- Fluency with key software tools, including advanced Excel (building and managing complex spreadsheets for asset division and support calculations), Adobe Acrobat, and electronic document management platforms — with comfort working in a fully digital, paperless environment.
- Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of managing large volumes of data and deadlines with precision.
- Sound judgment and discretion, with an unwavering commitment to confidentiality with respect to handling personal and financial information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism and polish required to interact directly with a sophisticated client base.
We are a dynamic group who value professionalism without pretense. A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred, but the firm is willing to train and invest in a less experienced but otherwise highly qualified and motivated candidate. This is an opportunity to join a selective family law practice and to build a long-term future with a team committed to excellence.
Orr & Reno offers a collegial and team-oriented working environment along with a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes medical, dental, life, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
