High School Drama Club Advisor

Old Rochester Regional School District is currently seeking a Drama Club Advisor at our Senior High School. Successful candidates will have a strong background in producing & directing full-length productions with students. Major Responsibilities: •Conduct theatrical rehearsals before/after school as required. •Produce full-length fall & spring productions •Prepare and submit all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner. •Develop, plan implement and monitor budget allocations for the program. •Manage and store equipment/costumes properly. •Follow safety precautions in the use and storage of technical theatrical tools and supplies. •Conduct auditions and turn in a roster for the next school year to appropriate administration. •Collaborate with parent booster club (FORD) that supports the drama club. •Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, principals, teachers, and custodial staff. •Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in the performances. •Apply and enforce student discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Student Handbook. •Regular and punctual attendance at scheduled events is required for this position. •Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
