Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Associate to serve as the face of our business while helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment. This role is essential to daily operations and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with purchases
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Price and stock retail merchandise
- Rotate and monitor dated inventory
- Operate fuel pricing equipment as needed
- Follow assigned work schedules and company procedures
- Count and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (including trash removal, vacuuming, and spill cleanup)
- Monitor and follow all safety, health, and environmental standards
- Maintain clear communication and respect company chain of command
Additional Responsibilities
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and life vests when necessary
- Promote a professional and courteous attitude at all times
- Perform all duties in a manner that protects human health and the environment
- Report any environmental or safety concerns to management
- Participate in environmental and safety programs as required
- Complete other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Basic understanding of safety and environmental procedures (or willingness to learn)
- Good balance and coordination for working on uneven or moving surfaces
- Knowledge of general cleaning practices
- Willingness to complete training in:
- Employee Orientation
- Hazardous Materials Response
- Emergency Response
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to read instructions and communicate clearly in writing
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- On-the-job training provided
Work Environment
