Job Overview:
Orosz Properties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter/Laborer to join our team. As a Painter/Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various painting and labor tasks to support our apartment turnover and remodeling projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in painting and basic maintenance.
The job is an hourly position with vacation pay, holiday pay, personal days, 401k with employer match, and health insurance with dental and vision. Orosz Properties owns and manages over 600 apartments in the Madison area with units ranging from single family houses to 12-story apartment complexes. Our portfolio is constantly growing, and we are looking to expand our team as well. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has great customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Painting apartments as part of turnover and remodeling process
- Paint common areas, hallways, decks, and other aspects of our apartment buildings
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Mix and match paint colors
- Assist with general labor tasks such as moving materials, cleaning work areas, and organizing tools
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards
- Perform all work assigned daily as it relates to general knowledge or painting, drywall and patching, landscaping, lawn care, and preventative maintenance of the property.
- Snow Removal - available outside of business hours as weather requires.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in painting or general maintenance field
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials needed
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
Note: This position does not require any specific education or certifications. However, relevant experience in painting or construction is highly preferred.
