The Role:
Orora Packaging Solutions is seeking a People Operations Partner to provide support to the People Operations team.
- This position will report to the: People Operations Manager
- Travel Requirement: 10% of Travel Required

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Administrates of pre-employment background check, physical, drug testing and assessments
- Explains to co-workers company policies, procedures, and need for compliance
- Creates and compiles Human Resources reports as requested
- Quickly and accurately, resolve co-worker concerns and requests in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Responds to routine inquiries regarding to policies, procedures and programs.
- Maintain positive relationships with HRBP’s, Co-workers, and stakeholders to support company-wide HR initiatives
- Prepares input forms for entry into HRIS or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records
- Oversees payroll auditing process using manual and automated payroll systems
- Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments
- Processes forms related to worker’s compensation, SDI, unemployment insurance and employment verification
- Serves as a liaison between immigration counsel and business partners to guide, monitor and facilitate immigration processes across the business
- Completes Federal and State regulated compliance filings each calendar year as needed per site / division
- Reconciles and administers necessary union payments
- Processes, submit, and track invoices for department
- Oversee and assist with DOT Compliance requirements
- Prepares co-worker separation notices and related documentation, and assist in conducting exit interviews
- Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 to 5 years Human Resources experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll records.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and departments in the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong team work and inter-personal skills.
- PC proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 10 Key.
- Knowledge of basic federal and state laws and regulations.
- Must be professional, customer service and detail oriented.
