What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Safety Aide position at Orono Public Schools?
- Assisting the Water Safety Instructor in learn-to-swim and water safety courses for preschool, youth and adults.
- Monitor and ensure participant safety at all times.
- Assist in creating conditions which ensure an enjoyable experience for participants.
- Assist in implementing lesson plans with small groups or individual students.
- Assist with set up and clean up for classes.
- Communicate effectively with Aquatics Coordinator regarding program needs.
- Must be at least 14 years old.
- Knowledge of swimming and water safety skills.
- Demonstrate responsible and dependable work habits.
- Positive attitude required.
- Communicate effectively with Water Safety Instructors
