Position Overview
Orofino Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centered CTE Business, Marketing, Engineering & Technology Teacher to prepare students for success in college, careers, and entrepreneurship.
This position supports multiple career pathways, including Business, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology, and Digital Media.
Business and Marketing education focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive operations. Marketing education emphasizes planning, managing, and performing marketing activities to help organizations reach their goals.
Engineering and Technology education prepares students for careers in:
• Architecture: Designing and planning the built environment
• Engineering: Planning, managing, and providing professional and technical services, including laboratory, testing, and research and development
• Information Technology: Designing, developing, supporting, and managing hardware, software, multimedia, and systems integration
• Digital Media Technology and Communication: Designing, producing, writing, performing, and publishing multimedia content in areas such as visual arts, journalism, and entertainment
This position bridges classroom learning with real-world application, preparing students for participation in today’s rapidly evolving global economy.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in areas including:
o Business Management and Entrepreneurship
o Accounting and Personal Finance
o Marketing and Digital Marketing
o Architecture and Engineering Foundations
o Information Technology and Computer Systems
o Digital Media and Multimedia Production
o Web Development and Office Software Applications
Facilitate student participation in:
o Internships and job shadowing
o Work-based learning experiences
o Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist, Adobe Certified Professional)
• Oversee and manage business, technology, and media labs, ensuring safe, effective, and responsible use of equipment and software.
• Serve as an advisor for student leadership and career organizations such as DECA, FBLA, and/or BPA.
• Integrate emerging technologies, including AI tools, engineering software, and digital media platforms into instruction.
• Collaborate with staff, counselors, and administrators to support student pathways and career readiness.
• Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities, school events, and the broader school calendar.
Qualifications
• Certification: Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Business, Marketing, Technology, Engineering, and/or Information Technology (6–12). Candidates eligible for Alternative Authorization or CTE Occupational Certification are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
o Working knowledge of business, engineering, media, and technology software
o Ability to utilize industry-standard and emerging technologies
• Professional Skills:
o Strong instructional and classroom management practices
o Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
o Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
o Ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and community partners
• Additional Requirements:
o Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening

Salary
Contingent based on education and experience.
2025-2026 Certified Salary Schedule range: $50,252 - $78,437

Employee medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage paid 100% by the district. Family benefits paid at 80% coverage. $20,000 employee life insurance and $2,000 dependent life insurance paid by the district. Eligible for PERSI retirement.
Start Date: August 2026
Schedule: Four-day school week with periodic Friday work days- 174 contract days per school year
