Role Description The Director role at Oroco Capital is a full-time position based in Miami, FL (remote ok). The Director will lead deal sourcing, evaluation and execution across the capital stack, including financial modeling, due diligence and transaction structuring. This role will work closely with portfolio company leadership to develop and refine growth strategies, oversee performance, and support key operational and strategic initiatives. The Director will cultivate and maintain relationships with founders, management teams, advisors and other stakeholders, representing Oroco in external meetings and industry events. In addition, the Director will contribute to internal investment committee discussions, help refine the firm’s investment theses, and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
- Strong investment and financial skills, including financial modeling, valuation and deal structuring experience.
- Experience in private equity, private credit, investment banking, or principal investing, with a track record of leading transactions.
- Strategic planning and operational improvement capabilities, with the ability to support portfolio companies in executing growth initiatives.
- Relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with founders, families, and management teams.
- Leadership and team collaboration skills, including mentoring junior professionals and contributing to firm-wide initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is beneficial.
- Comfort working in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment with a long-term, partnership-focused mindset.
- Ability to work on-site when needed in Miami, FL and travel as needed to portfolio companies and potential partners.
