We're looking for detail-oriented, safety-conscious Laboratory Research Associates to join our research team. If you take pride in precise, reproducible work and hold yourself to a high standard in the lab, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Execute laboratory protocols and procedures per established SOPs
- Prepare reagents accurately - weighing, dilutions, and concentration calculations
- Perform standard lab techniques including pipetting, basic chromatography, and rotary evaporation
- Handle chemical solvents safely and in compliance with SDS guidelines
- Maintain organized, thorough lab notebook entries with dates and observations
- Manage chemical waste disposal per institutional and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
Laboratory Safety - Non-Negotiable
- Proper PPE usage, SDS literacy, fume hood protocols, and safe chemical handling are foundational expectations NOT optional.
Core Organic Chemistry Knowledge
- Strong grasp of dilution/concentration calculations, molality, dimensional analysis, molecular weight and mass relationships, stoichiometry, limiting reagents, and chemical compatibility.
Hands-On Lab Technique
- Accurate reagent weighing, precise pipetting, ability to run multi-step protocols without deviation, basic chromatography, and rotary evaporation.
Attention to Detail & Notebook
- Discipline Meticulous record-keeping, organized and dated entries, and a zero-shortcuts mindset when following complex protocols.
Nice to Have
- B.S. or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- Prior experience in a research laboratory environment
- Exposure to analytical instrumentation and techniques
- Experience in a GMP or regulated research environment
