Job Summary:
The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production lines, and work areas in the production department. This role plays a key part in ensuring that our products are made in a safe, clean environment by following proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, floors, and other production-related surfaces
- Follow daily cleaning schedules and instructions provided by the Sanitation Team Lead
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operational Procedures (SSOP)
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sanitation or food processing preferred but not required (we provide training)
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift 25 to 35 pounds as part of regular job duties
- The position requires standing and walking for most of the shift
- Be able to work in a cold, wet, noisy production environment
- Must be able to work a Sunday shift to clean and sanitize equipment before production starts on Monday
