Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, the District Office Technician performs a wide range of technical, clerical, confidential, and administrative duties in support of District Office operations. This position provides support to multiple district departments, including Human Resources, Business Services, the Superintendent’s Office, Educational Services, and other departments as assigned. The District Office Technician assists with records management, data entry, communication, front-office services, document preparation, meeting and project support, employee and public assistance, and department-specific processes. This position requires professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting the efficient operation of the District Office. Knowledge of: - Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment - District Office operations and administrative support practices - Filing, scanning, records retention, and document management practices - Basic recordkeeping, data entry, and report preparation - Proper English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting - Business math and basic financial recordkeeping practices - Google Suite, Microsoft Office, email systems, spreadsheets, and database applications - Customer service practices and professional communication techniques - Confidentiality requirements related to personnel, student, financial, applicant, family, and district records - School district or public agency operations preferred Education and Experience - Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of increasingly responsible clerical, administrative, records management, or office support experience. - College-level coursework in business, office administration, public administration, Human Resources, accounting, education, or a related field preferred.
