Production Associate

Job Summary: Our ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. They must be able to perform all tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The role requires flexibility, as you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments within the plant.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 4 pm, with overtime as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Shred Line General Laborer rotates throughout the shred line.
• The job includes unwrapping boxes of cheese to be shredded, cubing the cheese through a cubing harp, adding rework back into the line, inspecting and boxing cheese, palletizing cheese, and taking garbage to the dumpster.
• You will clean the area as needed.
• You may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Packaging finished products including box making, filling, closing, and palletizing.
• Inspecting cheese products, packing and boxes for damage, and reporting deficiencies to the proper parties.
• Completing all necessary cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements.
• Performing all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision.
• Recording production information in a tablet, computer, or by hand.
• Attending all required company training.
• Flexibility to support work in all areas as needed.
• Performing duties following all good manufacturing practices (GMP's) including food, equipment, and operating safety requirements.
Education and Experience:
• A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
• You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• You will need to stand for extended periods of time.
• Your vision should include the ability to read, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

• You will need to push/pull.
• You may need to sit.
Required Personal Protective Equipment:
• Hearing protection is mandatory.
• A bump cap is required.
• A hair net is necessary.
• A uniform is required.
• Safety glasses are essential.
• Safety shoes are necessary.
• Gloves are required.
Tools and Equipment Used:
• Hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Knives
• Markers and pens
• An iPad
Environmental Conditions:
• This is a general manufacturing environment.
• You will need to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures.
