About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Crew Member/Sod Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing sod, preparing job sites, and delivering high-quality work efficiently. This position requires someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works well with a team, and can help ensure every project meets our company standards.
Responsibilities
- Install all varieties of sod with proper installation techniques.
- Remove existing sod, weeds, and landscape materials.
- Prepare and grade soil for sod installation.
- Spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
- Operate landscaping equipment and hand tools safely.
- Load and unload sod, materials, and equipment.
- Perform final cleanup and ensure each property is left neat and professional.
- Identify and correct installation issues before leaving the job site.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and customers when needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience installing sod is preferred
- Landscape experience is required.
- Experience with grading, soil preparation, and irrigation systems is a plus.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in Florida weather.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a crew.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
