This is a regular part-time role. This role will last year-round but is capped at part-time and will have Magic game night duties, which include nights and weekends.
A quick summary about the Arena Experience and Operations Representative:
Our Arena Experience & Operations Rep focuses on delivering legendary customer service to all Magic fans, Orlando Magic staff and building partners on game days, as well as at small events at the Amway Center. This includes managing the booking, coordinating, and activation of Magic events and select non-Magic events at the Amway Center. This role is critical in the support of our game day and non-game events, partnership with the Amway Center vendors and partners and supporting general game-day fan engagement.
What the Arena Experience and Operations Representative will be responsible for:
- Assist in the coordinating, tracking, and executing of large and small special event and hospitality on gamedays and non-gamedays.
- Track all Magic and non-Magic events on a series of internal and external calendars.
- Serve as a Manager on Duty for certain Amway Center events and small Orlando Magic events.
- Assist in the coordination and executing of large and small client events on gamedays and non-gamedays.
- Walkthrough on day of game to visit hospitality spaces and make sure they are set to requested specifics.
- Create event layouts on Auto CAD with the details internal or external clients provide.
- Assist the Arena Experience and Operations team with game day responsibilities including walk-throughs, group events, building maintenance.
- Deliver wow moments to clients where applicable.
- Assist all game day preparations including detailed walkthroughs of each level of the Amway Center; involve and hold Amway Center partners accountable for action items as a result of game/event day walk-throughs.
- Work directly with internal teams and City of Orlando to request, track, and manage all small and large building maintenance requests.
- All other duties as assigned.
What the Arena Experience and Operations Representative needs to have:
- College degree preferred or equivalent professional experience required.
- Minimum of one year of administrative experience, event set-up/teardown, event operations or similar experiences are required.
- Ability to work all Magic home games (41 - 44 annually) and select non-Magic events, including nights and weekends.
- Auto CAD Experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to take direction without follow up.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support multiple positions.
- Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others for whom you have no direct supervisory authority.
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours with a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on feet for long periods of time, which includes walking, squatting, bending and kneeling.
- Ability to lift 10-40 lbs.
