Orlando Heart & Vascular Center, LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS) to join our growing Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team. As a key member of our Cath Lab team, you will work alongside experienced physicians and healthcare professionals to perform advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients, equipment, and procedure rooms for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Scrub and assist with:
  • Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
  • Coronary and peripheral interventions
  • Balloon angioplasty
  • Coronary stent placement
  • Structural heart procedures, including valve interventions
  • Electrophysiology procedures
  • Operate fluoroscopy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), intracardiac ultrasound, and other imaging equipment.
  • Assist with the handling and management of arterial and venous access, guidewires, and catheters.
  • Continuously monitor patient hemodynamic status, ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate throughout procedures.
  • Calculate and document hemodynamic measurements and physiologic data.
  • Retrieve, analyze, and accurately document imaging and procedural data.
  • Maintain a sterile environment while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to deliver outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

Required

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Cath Lab scrub experience.
  • Experience assisting with diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and peripheral vascular interventions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Typical hours: Tuesday through Friday
  • Start time: 8:00 AM
  • Shift ends when the day's cases are completed (typically by 8:00 PM)
  • 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts may be required based on procedural volume.

Compensation

  • $40.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
