Position Summary
Responsible for creating and overseeing a sustainable plan to achieve top decile clinical performance as measured by CMS, Leapfrog, and other quality reporting agencies and as defined by the OHI Board of Directors and Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Maintains up to date knowledge regarding both current and anticipated measures from quality reporting agencies.
  • Proactively modifies the quality plan to achieve early success with new quality measures.
  • Inspires leaders, physicians, and all clinicians to seek perfection in the provision and documentation of clinical care.
  • Demonstrates a relentless pursuit of excellence and an ability to motivate others through highly developed influential leadership skills.
  • Articulates a vision, coaching, accountability and recognition for quality improvement techniques and design.
  • Develops, designs, and provides the quality tools and techniques for the scope of services.
  • Creates and maintains data driven quality and performance improvement processes, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to ensure clinical excellence, compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, quality and
    performance improvement and operating efficiency.
  • Interprets patterns and trends in quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate outcomes of care and compare to other recognized benchmarks or outcomes.
  • Provides direction for quality improvement program activities with department leadership including leading corporate quality initiatives that require timely follow-up, tracking and communication on an on-going basis.
  • Develops and ensures that automated reporting and interventions tools are implemented effectively.
  • Integrates the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Information Technology solutions including clinical decision support tools, analytic solutions.
  • Helps to foster a culture of measurement and performance excellence that incorporates data analytics. Includes historical trends, insights, and foresights.
  • Accountable for the successful implementation of programs and initiatives related to quality assessment and performance improvement to ensure achievement of clinical quality goals and objectives.
  • Guides all level of leaders on process management through identification of process requirements/specifications, development of measures of process effectiveness, measurement, analysis, and reporting.
  • Oversees data analysis to identify process improvement and works with stakeholders to address identified opportunities.
  • Develops, supports, and promotes the use of process improvement tools throughout the organization.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Experience
  • Progressive leadership responsibility in a multi-hospital system specific to health outcomes, quality of care and patient safety.
  • Experienced in Epic EHR clinical domains.
  • Ability to synthesize various data inputs and drive multi-disciplinary teams to consensus actions and outcomes/deliverables.
  • Experience with use of quality and performance tools and techniques.
  • Experience in healthcare outcome measurement and data analysis, public reporting requirements, process improvement and facilitation of practice through technology-based solutions.
  • Experienced in building a cohesive and effective team and fostering a supportive environment for growth.
Education/Training
  • Master’s degree in healthcare, improvement science or related field required.
