Key Responsibilities
- Booth Setup & Breakdown: Safely transport market gear and fresh pasta inventory in your vehicle, set up the display canopy/tables before market opening, and break down at closing.
- Customer Service & Sales: Warmly engage passersby, build rapport with loyal patrons, and use consultative sales techniques to guide hesitate shoppers toward buying.
- Menu & Culinary Expertise: Master our pasta menu, offer recipe pairing suggestions, and answer customer questions regarding ingredients and preparation.
- POS & Cash Handling: Process cash and card payment transactions accurately and efficiently using a mobile POS system.
- Inventory Management & Kitchen Return: Keep product displays stocked and presentable during market hours; return equipment and remaining inventory to the pasta kitchen post-market.
- Team Communication: Maintain clear written and verbal communication with kitchen staff and management regarding inventory, sales, and market feedback.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Customer Service / Retail / Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, food service, brand promotion, or event staffing is a plus.
- Vehicle Requirement: Must have a reliable personal vehicle capable of carrying booth equipment and cooler inventory (SUV, crossover, or larger vehicle preferred).
- Availability: Weekend morning availability is essential (Saturday/Sunday farmer's markets).
- Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for extended periods outdoors and lifting market gear/coolers (up to 30–40 lbs).
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and a genuine passion for food.
