As our caseload continues to grow, we are looking for a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney who can manage their own files and contribute meaningfully to a busy, litigation-focused practice.
Responsibilities
Most of our cases are in litigation. You’ll handle files from the moment a potential client calls us through the end of the case, working closely with the managing partner on strategy along the way.
- Take intake calls and speak with potential clients.
- Review new matters with the managing partner and help decide which cases the firm should accept.
- Once a case is signed, take charge of gathering facts, records, and early case development.
- Draft complaints, motions, discovery requests, and all other litigation filings.
- Handle written discovery, depositions, inspections, and all day-to-day litigation tasks.
- Communicate with clients regularly so they always understand what’s happening and feel supported.
- Work with experts, investigators, and medical providers to strengthen liability and damages.
- Attend and handle hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Move cases forward efficiently and prepare them for resolution, whether through settlement or trial.
Qualifications
- Must have litigation experience in personal injury cases, whether on the plaintiff or defense side.
- Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
- Comfortable managing your own cases and making strategic decisions.
- Strong legal writing skills and the ability to draft clear, well-organized pleadings and motions.
- Confident taking and defending depositions and handling hearings and mediations.
- Able to communicate with clients in a patient, respectful, and compassionate way.
- Organized, reliable, and able to keep multiple cases moving without constant oversight.
- A team player who is willing to collaborate and contribute to a small, growing, family-run firm.
