Job Title: Credit Manager
Job Type: Full-time (on-site), exempt salary position
Compensation: From $75,000 plus benefits
Orion Wholesale is seeking a strategically minded Credit Manager to lead our credit and collections function. The Credit Manager will create and maintain credit policies and procedures for a growing customer portfolio. The Credit Manager will report to the CFO and work closely with the Owners, Controller, and Sales Team to implement credit strategy for the entire company. The Credit Manager will manage daily operations related to credit, collections, and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures customized for the customer portfolio.
- Work with all aspects of the company to implement the best credit strategy.
- Create a process to analyze customer creditworthiness through a variety of tools.
- Build and supervise the credit team as the portfolio grows.
- Own and optimize the credit insurance process.
- Make process improvement recommendations to the Owners and CFO.
- Evaluate customer credit upside and risks.
- Monitor past due accounts, mitigate high risk accounts, and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Manage the collections process with the sales team and collection coordinators.
- Act with a strong sense of urgency to support the company and customers.
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
- Manage detailed credit records, data analysis, and reporting in Microsoft Business Central.
- Travel to industry credit meetings when necessary.
- Ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by CFO.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred or 2 years’ experience as a Credit Manager.
- Member of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM).
- Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or CBA/CBF working towards CCE.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial evaluation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Embrace and utilize technology to make improvements.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a Full-time (on-site), exempt salary position
