Job Description:
A leading employee-owned consulting firm is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to take on increasing responsibilities in the design and management of landside civil engineering projects, primarily to support aviation clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing regular project status updates to management and supporting coordination with clients and subconsultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop contract documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Organize and lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and update organizational and quality control standards.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and aerial photography for project planning.
- Perform design computations and prepare detailed designs.
- Coordinate with or manage project sub-consultants and in-house disciplines.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of detailed construction cost estimating.
- Skilled in technical specification writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders.
- Knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria.
- Experience with project management tools, including scheduling and budgeting.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in civil design.
- Experience in task management.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a supervisory role on project tasks.
- Background in road or highway design.
