Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location: This is primarily an on-site opportunity in the Richmond/Henrico, Virginia area, offering close collaboration with our legal team. Limited flexibility may be available for exceptional candidates.

Note: To be considered, candidates must be licensed to practice law in Virginia (or able to obtain admission promptly), have at least 1 year of workers' compensation or comparable litigation experience, and genuinely enjoy negotiation, advocacy, and achieving outstanding client results.

Job Description

• Manage plaintiff-side workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and build strong, evidence-driven cases.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and hearing materials.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Represent clients before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Partner with medical providers, vocational experts, and other professionals to maximize case value.
• Counsel clients throughout the litigation process with clear communication and trusted guidance.
• Work closely with experienced legal support staff to efficiently move cases forward.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar license or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• 1 years of workers' compensation, personal injury, insurance defense, medical malpractice, or comparable litigation experience.
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and communication abilities.
• Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Passion for representing injured individuals and advocating on their behalf.
