Pay: $145,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Location: Lake Oswego, Oregon. This position begins on-site for approximately the first three months of training, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule afterward. Candidates must remain local and available to commute to the Lake Oswego office for mandatory meetings, trials, firm events, and other in-person responsibilities.

Note: Active Oregon State Bar membership is required. We are seeking an experienced litigator with 5 years of relevant litigation experience, exceptional legal writing and briefing skills, and the ability to manage sophisticated matters. Plaintiff-side and trial experience are strongly preferred. Attorneys coming from in-house or solo practice may be considered and are not expected to bring a book of business or existing cases.

Job Description

• Manage litigation matters from initial stages through resolution and trial.
• Draft persuasive motions, responses, pleadings, briefs, and other sophisticated legal documents.
• Analyze discovery, evidence, and complex legal issues to develop effective case strategies.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Evaluate legal and factual issues and provide thoughtful strategic recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
• Maintain trusted client relationships and provide responsive, compassionate, and professional counsel.
• Take ownership of deadlines, case strategy, preparation, and overall matter management.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon State Bar membership.
• 5 years of directly relevant litigation experience required; candidates with particularly strong credentials may receive consideration with somewhat less experience.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and briefing skills are essential.
• Strong analytical, advocacy, communication, and case management abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage substantive litigation responsibilities.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Plaintiff-side litigation experience preferred.
• Stable professional history and demonstrated commitment to long-term career growth.
• Ability to commute to Lake Oswego as required for in-person responsibilities.
