Job Description
- Represent clients in a variety of family law matters including divorce, child custody, support, visitation, property division, and related proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
- Manage an active caseload from intake through resolution.
- Appear in court for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as needed.
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Negotiate favorable settlements while preparing cases for litigation when necessary.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license.
- 1 year of family law experience.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
- Experience managing cases independently.
- Courtroom and negotiation experience is preferred.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
