Location: This is an on-site role based in Troy, Michigan. Candidates should be local to the area and licensed to practice law in Michigan.
Note: Michigan Bar admission, litigation experience, and a commercial litigation, business litigation, or closely related civil litigation background are required.

Job Description
- Handle commercial litigation and business dispute matters from case intake through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy with experienced litigation attorneys.
- Manage discovery, review documents, prepare written discovery, and analyze case facts.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and support hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Appear in court and assist with litigation proceedings as needed.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel in a professional and responsive manner.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff while managing deadlines, case files, and litigation priorities.
- Develop courtroom, deposition, trial, and client counseling skills in a sophisticated litigation practice.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active Michigan Bar license in good standing.
- 3 years of attorney experience.
- Litigation experience required, preferably in commercial litigation, business litigation, civil litigation, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, insurance defense, employment litigation, or related matters.
- Deposition experience strongly preferred.
- Strong desire to appear in court, learn trial skills, and grow as a hands-on litigator.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong professional judgment, organization, problem-solving ability, and work ethic.
- Proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative law firm environment.
