Job Summary
The Director of Loan Origination Systems (Director of LOS) will lead the administration and optimization of the Vesta LOS platform, ensuring its effective use in improving workflows, regulatory compliance, and overall efficiencies. The Director of LOS will create and maintain a highly efficient and productive environment/culture that values its team members and recognizes performance. Provide guidance, training, coaching and assistance to the team of administrators as needed. This role demands a thorough understanding of the platform's functionality, integrations, and the ability to program system alerts, business rules, workflow, and tasks. The Director will lead a team of administrators and collaborate with leadership to align the system's capabilities with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Vesta LOS Platform in conjunction with the Corporate LOS Director: Oversee maintenance, alerts, business rules, workflow, and task writing/testing, and other platform-related functions.
· Ensure all compliance, regulatory rules, and reporting are synchronized per Compliance and Legal Leadership, under the direction of the Corporate Director of LOS
· Establish and maintain change management controls for compliance, legal, and regulatory reporting.
· Respond to escalations in a timely manner.
· Counsel staff on Vesta matters as needed.
· Establish and enforce company protocols and best practices in LOS configuration.
· Evaluate and recommend optimizations to enhance system performance and user experience.
· Work closely with the leadership team to manage workflow rules and management dashboards, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
· Perform in-depth system analysis to determine the impact of proposed changes and solutions.
· Design and implement new workflows, input forms, and business rules to meet evolving business needs.
· Ensure all system settings are up-to-date and relevant to ongoing business requirements.
· Lead and participate in projects that span multiple departments, ensuring the effective integration of the LOS.
· Write functional specifications, change requests, test plans, and training documentation.
· Lead and participate in discovery meetings with department managers and end users to understand their needs, regulations, and requirements.
· Conduct other tasks assigned to support the organization's goals.
Knowledge and Skills Required
· Extensive mortgage LOS administration experience.
· Mortgage Lending Expertise: In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process, including the loan lifecycle.
· High level of precision and attention to detail in all tasks.
· Clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to conduct research and troubleshoot system issues and products effectively.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Strong analytical skills to evaluate reports, identify patterns and trends, ensure data integrity, and manage database functions.
· Conduct all interactions professionally, confidently, and respectfully, comfortable communicating with personnel at all levels.
· Ability to function as a sole contributor as required.
Credentials and Experience Required
· Bachelor of Science in Information Technology preferred; alternatively, proven experience and skills will be considered.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Mortgage Lending IT field and a minimum of 3 years of experience with mortgage LOS platforms.
· Proven ability to lead a task-oriented team and demonstrate task completion techniques.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Lead and manage a team of administrators, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
· Evaluate team performance, offer constructive feedback, and guide professional development.
