Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Courier to become a valuable member of our team based in Baton Rouge, LA. The medical courier will work with the operations team to pick up client samples in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. Routine daily tasks include supply deliveries, sample pick-ups, maintaining specimen integrity, logging of samples and communication of delays. Couriers will be provided courier cars and gas by Orion Laboratories and additional supplies needed to complete deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine specimen pick-up and delivery to laboratory according to established standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Check warehouse at the beginning of shift for supply deliveries to designated locations
- Maintain company standards of customer service, timeliness, and attention to detail
- Abide by all traffic ordinances, appropriate rates of speed, and defensive driving tactics
- Follow CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in the respective policies
- Ensure proper functions of the courier car, including routine passes to verify no damage to body or tires of the car. Report any problems or new issues to Manager
- Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
Orion Laboratories is seeking a full-time Medical Courier in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is responsible for the safe, timely pick-up and delivery of specimens and supplies while maintaining specimen integrity and providing excellent client service. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with rotating weekends.
