Human Resources Assistant
We’re looking for a Human Resources Assistant to support our client’s day-to-day HR operations in a busy Vermont manufacturing environment. This role helps keep our workforce running smoothly by handling hourly recruitment, onboarding, attendance tracking, employee documentation, and frontline HR support for plant employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support hourly/production hiring: posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
- Prepare onboarding materials and lead new-hire orientations
- Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, and safety documentation
- Track attendance, PTO, and timekeeping in HR systems
- Assist with benefits, wellness, and shift communications
- Partner with EHS on safety training and compliance
- Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, attendance)
- Support employee events, recognition, and general HR inquiries
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required, bachelor’s preferred
- 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience in manufacturing or related industries
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office; HRIS/timekeeping experience a plus
- Professional, discreet, and comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-shift plant environment
