Essential Functions And Basic Duties
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Support the development and execution of community partnership projects, ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals. Including financial literacy programs for youth and adults.
- Represent Orion Financial at community events, cultivating positive relationships with local organizations and stakeholders.
- Coordinate sponsorships, volunteer initiatives, and outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with Human Resources & the VP of Community Engagement to design programs that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Plan and facilitate internal events (e.g., employee appreciation, cultural celebrations, volunteer days), ensuring that recognition is celebrated in a consistent and meaningful way.
- Act as a connector between departments to promote inclusivity and collaboration.
- Plan, organize, and execute both internal and external events, from concept through completion.
- Manage logistics such as scheduling, communications, vendors, and post-event evaluations.
- Ensure events reflect Orion Financial’s brand and values.
- Collaborate with internal departments including mortgage, business banking, HR, and community engagement to align efforts with business priorities.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field required.
Experience Required
- 5 years of experience in community engagement, events management, or employee engagement programs required. Experience in financial services or nonprofit sector a plus.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively, accurately, efficiently with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to strategically organize and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities while working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to provide the highest quality of service to internal and external members.
- Creative thinker with a passion for culture-building and community involvement.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Excel).
