Job Description

Our client is seeking a Mobile Developer to join their software engineering team responsible for building tools that support global accounting teams delivering complex tax and financial services for some of the world s largest organizations. As part of the UI/UX team, you will translate design mockups into fully functional mobile interfaces, develop new features, and refactor existing components with a scalable, future-proof approach.

This role requires a strong understanding of the Expo/React Native ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Build cross-platform mobile applications using Expo SDK and React Native.

• Translate UI/UX design mockups into functional, responsive mobile interfaces.

• Refactor and enhance existing application features for performance and maintainability.

• Develop extensible components following modular architecture best practices.

• Write unit tests and contribute to codebase resiliency and application security.

• Collaborate with designers on UI/UX and partner with backend developers on API integration.

• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into application features.

• Conduct independent research and present findings to technical and non-technical teams.

• Advocate for strong user experience design throughout the development lifecycle.

• Prepare and maintain documentation, SOPs, and design language guides.

• Identify opportunities for design and development improvements based on emerging industry trends.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with React Native and the Expo SDK.

• Proficiency in building cross-platform mobile applications (iOS and Android).

• Experience with modular UI component development and responsive design.

• Experience collaborating with designers and backend developers.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.

• Solid understanding of mobile application security and testing best practices.

• Ability to write clear documentation and maintain development standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in professional services, financial services, or similar domains.

• Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile applications.

• Knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript tooling.

• Experience designing or refining mobile APIs.
