Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Counter Clerk at our dry cleaning store. This role is the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent service, handling garments with care and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers
- Assist customers with drop-off and pick-up of garments.
- Tag and log items into the point-of-sale system with accurancy.
- Inspect garments for stains, damage, and special cleaning instructions.
- Answer customer questions about services, pricing, and turnaround times.
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile transactions.
- Ensure the counter area is neat, organized, and professional at all times.
- Communicate with the cleaning/production team regarding special requests.
- assist with light cleaning duties, stocking supplies, and organizing completed orders.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or retail experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in fast- paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS software.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry garments.
Schedule & Pay:
- Full time: Tuesday-Friday- 8:30-5:15 and Saturday- 9:00-3:15
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
