Position Description
The Capital Markets Manager or Associate is responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of execution under the leadership of a Deal Lead (Director or Senior Director) or working directly with the SVP of Capital Markets. The position will focus on assigned projects and / or Corporate Facilities, and the Manager will contribute to sourcing, structuring, and managing tax equity and debt financings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and managing tax equity and debt for projects and corporate facilities, including review of proposals and recommendation
- Includes preparation of RFP material for prospective lenders and investors, comprised of teasers and consultants reports and modeling
- Curate and maintain a dataroom
- Communicate with prospective lenders and investors during the RFP and selection process
- Perform day-to-day diligence and coordinate with technical and financial advisors as well as other Origis teams working on the Projects. Escalate any issue with the PF Director
- Prepare and monitor the preparation of third-party consultant budgets for projects as well as scope of work; ensure key reports are delivered timely and in form satisfactory to financing partners. Oversee Q&A process and ensure proper reliance
- Abide by the timeline established by the deal lead for the various workstreams, and flag any deviation or delay
- Ensure accuracy of all financial modeling aspects by working in close coordination with a member of the Investment team supporting the deal team and providing all necessary inputs and checks
- Support team lead through the deal execution and documentation through the negotiation of term sheets and financing documents together with legal counsel; support the project development and BD teams with all aspects of project documentation including third party consents and amendment as needed
Ongoing Reporting, compliance and internal
- Post closing, Manager is the first point of contact for compliance and reporting; track and provides all financing-related deliverables in partnership with Asset Management
- Lead day-to-day management of closed financings as assigned – including discrete construction financings, projects financed through the construction warehouse, and the Development Finance Facility, including Borrowing Base determination based on the addition of new projects and equipment or removal of projects ready to finance, in coordination with the EPC, Procurement and Business Development teams
- Administer/documentation, draws of cash and letter of credits on existing financing facilities
- Coordinate amendment and waiver processes with lenders, external counsel and third-party consultants, ensuring the preparation and delivery of all necessary documentation and reports
- Coordinate with the Investment team to provide an updated draw schedule for reporting purposes
- Update internal systems including Solaris
- Communicate with accounting and FP&A on material changes on projects
Marketing / Relationship management
- Support the Directors and SVP as needed with marketing material – including preparation of update decks
- Attend meetings with debt providers and tax equity investors as requested
- Establish direct work relationships with peers at tax equity and lending institutions
Leadership and Management
- Oversight and training of more junior team members in the deal team – ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the work product is high quality
- Mentorship of all junior team members, leading by example, both in knowledge and work ethic
Other /ad-hoc:
- Assist and coordinate executive reporting, including updates to investors, board material, debt compliance scorecards, external financial reporting, and disclosures
- Lead new market research and analysis, policy research, and set up databases with relevant information to enhance the Capital Markets team understanding of new commercial structures, technologies, incentives and state programs as needed
- Assist management in the acquisition and sale of projects as needed
- General support for ad hoc strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in structured/project finance, preferably in the financial industry with a leading Project Finance lender or working for a developer or IPP
- Understanding of the renewable sector and associated capital structures including tax equity
- Experience structuring and administering financing facilities
- Awareness of the main PF lenders active in the market; existing relationships a plus
- Broad understanding of Capital Markets and of the bank market in general, including appreciation for typical processes (credit committee; KYC diligence; etc)
- Robust financial modeling skills

Job Level Manager – no direct reports
The expected starting pay range for this role is outlined below, in addition to a competitive annual bonus and benefits, 401K, etc. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges provided as our individual pay is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, education & certifications, as well as performance.
New York Pay Range
$130,000 - $230,000 USD
