About the Role:
At Original Skiff, we pride ourselves on delivering an elevated dining experience with impeccable service. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing refined, attentive service while curating a memorable experience for our guests. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a sophisticated dining setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, setting the tone for their dining experience.
- Provide detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring all orders meet presentation and quality standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service throughout their meal.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and dietary restrictions with attentiveness and professionalism.
Dining Room Coordination & Cleanliness:
- Monitor table progression to ensure efficient service and a smooth dining experience.
- Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Assist with table management, working closely with the host and service team to optimize seating flow.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment.
Operational Support & Teamwork:
- Accurately process payments
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Assist with side work, such as stocking service stations, polishing glassware, and maintaining supplies.
- Support teammates as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
