Origin Wireless AI is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician Intern to join our team in Rockville, MD. This in-person, part-time, unpaid internship offers hands-on experience with AI-driven WiFi Sensing technology used by Fortune 500 companies across healthcare, security, property tech, and automotive industries.
This is a learning-focused internship designed for students or recent graduates who want real-world exposure to advanced technology, testing, and product development.
What You’ll Learn & Do
As an Engineering Technician Intern, you’ll be embedded with our Quality and Engineering teams and will:
- Learn how cutting-edge AI and WiFi Sensing systems are built, tested, and validated
- Assist with system-level testing and learn how technical issues are identified and documented
- Support prototype testing and evaluation, including test documentation
- Gain hands-on experience assembling and preparing prototype systems for internal and external evaluation
- Help support product demos and see how advanced technology is presented to customers
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, QA, and Sales Engineering teams
- Build practical skills that translate directly to careers in engineering, QA, software, and emerging technologies
You’ll be closely mentored and report directly to the QA Manager.
Who Should Apply
- Students or recent grads pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Curious, tech-savvy learners with experience from coursework, labs, or projects
- Strong communicators who enjoy hands-on learning
- Interest in engineering, QA, software, or emerging technologies (Linux or scripting experience is a plus, not required.)
- Please note this is in person, in Rockville, MD, applicants must be local.

If your school offers an internship-for-credit program, Origin is open to coordinating required documentation when program criteria align.
