The Main Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of TPO manufacturing equipment to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role oversees the production line, monitors equipment performance, performs machine adjustments, and works closely with team members to maintain continuous production while minimizing downtime.

Essential Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor TPO production equipment, including extrusion lines, mixers, conveyors, and other heavy manufacturing machinery.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production equipment to maintain product quality and maximize efficiency.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
- Monitor product quality by conducting required inspections and making process adjustments as needed.
- Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
- Assist with equipment changeovers, start-ups, shutdowns, and other production activities.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve operational issues and reduce downtime.
- Train and support new operators as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating heavy industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Prior factory or manufacturing experience is required; experience in plastics, extrusion, roofing materials, or TPO manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
- Ability to read production specifications, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as production demands require.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
