Job Description
Oriental House Chinese Restaurant is seeking a reliable and friendly Restaurant Cashier to join our team. The cashier will handle customer transactions, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities also include answering phone calls, assisting with takeout orders, packing to-go orders, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
Responsibilities
• Handle cash, credit, and POS transactions accurately
• Take customer orders in person and over the phone
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
• Pack and prepare takeout orders
• Perform daily cleaning and organize the restaurant, including the dining area, cashier, and front counter.
• Ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately
Qualifications
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and punctuality
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Fluent in Spanish is required
