About the role - USA Sales Specialist (Elko, NV, USA)

THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN ELKO, NV, USA

We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a USA Sales Specialist within our Digital Solutions team, focused on business growth for the Axis division. Primary responsibilities are generating new business leads and supporting new and existing customers both technically and commercially.
What you will be doing
  • Identifying client opportunities by leveraging existing personal networks and developing new customer relationships.
  • Promote and sell product advantages by using solid arguments and thorough use of cost-benefit and needs analysis.
  • Provide field-based training and technical support to new and existing customers ensuring operational and technical competency.
  • Ensure regular contact with clients to demonstrate a high level of customer support and to maintain a positive relationship.
  • Coordinate sales effort with other team members including providing support to team members in their absence.
  • Attend industry conferences as required
What you will bring
  • Proven sales experience in a drilling tools or related business
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and opportunity management
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Customer focused attitude
Role dimensions
  • Must be open to traveling up to 30% throughout the United States
  • Based out of our Elko distribution office, must be open to reporting to the office five (5) days a week

Your qualifications
  • Strong business management, organisational and customer relationship skills
  • Strong sales and business development skills
  • Ability to prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders
  • Sound cost management and basic financial knowledge
  • Solid understanding of drill-hole survey practices and techniques
  • Familiarity with gyroscopic survey systems
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and capacity to work independently.
